This show is a "dance play" divided into three parts. The first is a period piece and has as its source a swing where a girl flirts with two men. The second story is set in 1954 Queens in an Italian restaurant where a wife, trapped in a loveless marriage, fulfills her romantic fantasies. The final story takes place in New York today, portrays a successful advertising executive who is wildly suicidal about his personal life, who tries to engage a beautiful young woman in a yellow dress who appears and then disappears into the crowd of sinuous couples dancing.

THE STORY

This show consists of three short stories told primarily through dance and uses recorded music.

ACT ONE

SWINGING

The first piece presents a lovely young lady swaying back and forth on a swing as two men, a master and his servant, compete for her affections. Swinging is an 18th Century souffle of sizzling amoral intrigue.

DID YOU MOVE?

The second part follows the romantic fantasies of a frustrated wife having dinner with a husband whose only words to her are "Don't talk. Don't smile. Don't fucking move." Whenever the husband heads for the buffet in another room, the prim housewife along with the restaurant staff and guests errupts into fantasy ballets that gloriously evoke the power of dance to set us free, even if only temporarily.

ACT TWO

CONTACT (THE GIRL IN A YELLOW DRESS)

The final and longest of the three tales tells the story of Michael Wiley, a highly successful Advertising Executive with suicidal notions. Seeking some relief from his internal torment, he wanders upon an after-hours swing club where he pursues the mysterious "Girl in a Yellow Dress." With the help of the sizzling energy of this gorgeous, lithe-limbed dancer in a yellow dress, he reconnects with life.
